Leadership and Transformation Gateway
This Gateway was formerly the Leadership and Organisational Development Gateway and has now been renamed to reflect a wider brief around the Transformation Agenda and particularly joint public sector working.
Our overall aim is to facilitate the development of existing and aspiring leaders in the sector and to maximise our internal leadership and transformation resource.
This will be done through consultancy, development of resources, training and sharing good practice across sectors throughout the region.
Our themes will be:

- Developing Organisational Cultures and Supporting Organisational Transformation
- Sustainable Learning and Improvement
- Supporting Innovation
Key activities and outputs for this year include:
- The creation of a Leadership 'Marketplace' which will include access to online learning resources and learning tools, a leadership discussion forum, a virtual library of articles on leadership and related topics and information on a range of leadership development activities.
- Setting up a dialogue on Organisational Transformation which will include the latest thinking from leading-edge practitioners and the opportunity to share learning, case studies and success stories across the region.
- Delivery of a regional training programme on Organisational Transformation.
- Ongoing development of regional 'pools' of coaches, coach supervisors and action learning facilitators.
- Creation of a regional coaching strategy and ongoing regional coaching programmes including new ILM qualifications in coaching and a peer supervision programme.
- Ongoing collaboration across the public sector in the North West on all these activities to support the further development of public sector partnerships.
- Ongoing support for collaborative leadership programmes running across the region, including the Collaborative Leadership Diploma which is being run by Lancaster University, the Fire Service Programme and the Adult Social Care Programme. We will be providing regular updates on these programmes and programme materials will be available online as part of the Leadership Marketplace.
- Setting up of academic learning links.
- A 2010 Leadership Summit on the challenges and opportunities going forward.
