Developing Organisational Talent through Coaching: 5 Day Coaching Programme for Senior Officers

Following the success of the North West Cross Sector Coaching Programme for Chief Executives, North West Employers is really pleased to offer this programme, in partnership with North West Housing Associations. We hope that such an approach would enable the exploration of different cultures and working methods as well as providing the opportunity to explore partnership working across the sector.

The programme is aimed at Senior Officers who wish to develop their coaching skills and, whilst there is a range of programmes available for senior managers, we developed this programme specifically for Senior Leaders to reflect the particular role they play in developing a coaching culture where people can thrive.

Please note that this five-day programme is not funded by NWIEP. Click below.

CPD Event for Practising Coaches - EMCC Ethical Awareness Workshop

As part of their Regional Coaching Strategy, and supported by NWIEP, North West Employers is pleased to offer this CPD event in partnership with EMCC to practising coaches from local authority organisations in the North West.

This event will be of interest primarily to in-house coaches and mentors, who may be looking for advice and support in managing multi-stakeholder and client situations. In the process of working with the EMCC Code of Ethics, coaches will be able to clarify how best to set up their contracts with their specific client within their own organisation.

Post-Graduate Certificate in Business and Executive Coaching

This course is validated by Leeds Metropolitan University. Selecting the right coach training is a difficult decision. We appreciate that. There are several offerings on the market and, at present, no industry-wide validating body to set standards and guarantee consistency of product and quality.

As founder members of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) we are committed to remedying this situation and Peter Bluckert is playing an active role alongside other senior practitioners in developing the coaching profession.

North West Collaborative Leadership Post Graduate Diploma in Public Service Leadership

NWIEP, the University of Manchester and Lancaster University seek to engage future leaders of the region though an enquiring and collaborative programme.

Applications are now invited for Cohort 2 of the North West Collaborative Leadership Post Graduate Diploma in Public Service Leadership.

This programme includes representatives from a variety of public services, giving participants the chance to develop their knowledge and understanding of some of the tough collaborative issues at the heart of our communities in the North West.

It is highly interactive and participative and participants will undertake projects, both during and between modules, that will enable them to gain a greater shared understanding of public service leadership issues and to apply new understanding to issues of local importance.

Participants are encouraged to engage in research and to investigate the latest thinking on leadership

There are five modules, and the programme for Cohort 2 started in June 2009.
