Shift
Shift is the Department of Health-funded initiative to tackle stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues in England.
Shift has produced a Line Managers' Resource in partnership with the Department of Health, Department for Work and Pensions, Health and Safety Executive and Health Work Wellbeing. This Resource is a practical guide to managing and supporting people with mental health problems in the workplace. It supports the objectives of local authorities in that it offers practical advice on recruiting, retaining and supporting people with mental health problems, thereby promoting the mental health and wellbeing of staff and reducing discrimination.
The Line Managers’ Resource is free and you can request paper copies by sending your postal address to CSIP. You can also download copies from the Shift website by clicking here, where further information can also be found. For specific enquiries you can email Claire Newall or call 0207 307 2445.
